Aarhus Safe House

For the second year in a row, Studenterhus Aarhus will be creating a safe space during Aarhus Festuge with the Aarhus Safe House initiative. Safe House aims to ensure that festival guests have a safe place to go if they feel unsafe, overwhelmed, exposed to discrimination, or simply need a break from the festivities.

Like last year, Aarhus Safe House will be located in Mølleparken and offer a calm and safe environment for those who need it. The house is a tiny house with a place to talk and a mattress to rest on, where you can also get a cup of coffee or charge your phone. Here, volunteer safety hosts are ready to lend a listening ear or help contact a parent, friend, police or other relevant support – if necessary. This year, the safety hosts are also equipped with an antidote nasal spray and have received information on how to spot the signs of an overdose.

Studenterhus Aarhus emphasises the importance of seeking help or advice, no matter what you may encounter. No situation is too small or too big, and everyone is welcome.
