Bourbon Street Jazzband

Bourbon Street Jazzband is part of the Danish traditional jazz scene, but stands out by mixing the classic New Orleans style with tight arrangements and stylistic detours to swing, boogie woogie and blues. You could say that the music reflects the different backgrounds and personalities of the musicians. But the focus is, as always, to meet the audience with high quality, catchy and danceable music.

It's a tried and tested and experienced orchestra that will embark on its 69th season in 2025. Nothing lasts forever, but it was only recently that the orchestra had to say goodbye to the last of the original members. Trumpeter Gerhard Ellerbæk retired after an amazing career that began in 1956. He was replaced by another experienced musician, Gunnar Lautrup, who quickly became part of the orchestra's sound. Also new to the post is pianist Jens Nørholm.

In connection with the event, lunch platters can be ordered including seat reservations.
