Bunshin Robot Café: Get an Insight into the Vision Behind the Robot Café

Visit the Bunshin Robot Café at Øens Madhus and enjoy a special experience that gives you a close-up look at the café’s unique concept.

At this event, we’ll start with a short presentation from the café’s on-site staff, who will share the vision behind Bunshin Robot Café – a café where welfare technology and social inclusion go hand in hand. You’ll also have the chance to meet one of our robot pilots, who will talk about their experience working via a remote-controlled robot.

The event is free, and you're welcome to stay afterward to enjoy a cup of coffee, something to eat, or have a chat with a robot pilot. Refreshments can be purchased in the café.

What is Bunshin Robot Café?

Bunshin Robot Café is the first robot café outside of Japan, where you are served by robots remotely operated by individuals who, due to mental, physical, or social challenges, find it difficult to attend a workplace in person. The robot pilots can take your order, serve your food, or have a conversation with you at your table.

“Bunshin” is the Japanese term for “splitting oneself” and being in multiple places at once. At Bunshin Robot Café in Øens Madhus, employees get the opportunity to be present through the robots and become part of a work community – from a distance. The café is an employment initiative running until the end of September 2025.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience the welfare technology of the future in practice – and to meet the people behind the robots.
