Walk through the Portal and into the "confettirain"

The Portal and the ConfettiRain is a large, artistic construction in the middle of the city park during Aarhus Festuge and Krop og Kærlighed 2025 - and an open invitation to take part in and experience children's creativity in full bloom.

The work, which was created by Børnekunstforeningen SkrotOp in collaboration with Aarhus Festuge and Aarhus Municipality, forms the framework for a series of creative workshops for children/families every day from 10 am to 6 pm during Aarhus Festuge and Krop og Kærlighed festival.

Here, children are allowed to express their ideas and perspectives through small confetti artworks, which are mounted on stands in the city park and create a direct connection to the large portal.

The SkrotOp children's art association believes that children are creative citizens. We work to give children real opportunities to participate in art and shape the culture around them.

The portal stands as a visible marker that children's voices belong in the city's cultural life.

The project is free for participants and we create it together – for and with children.
