Hul is back at M56;10 with a handful of exciting "rock" artists, carefully curated for the discerning but curious Aarhusian. Crushing is a post-rock band from Aarhus, Denmark. Their music draws on lo-fi and indie influences like The Microphones, Alex G, and Car Seat Headrest, blending fragile melodies with noisy, unpredictable arrangements. The songs are raw and emotionally direct, often dealing with themes like humiliation, shame, and self-exposure. Crushing leans into emotional intensity, using distortion, awkward silences, and broken song structures to reflect the messiness of their subject matter.
