Freehand Embroidery with Threading the World

Join a Creative and Cozy Workshop at Domen, Where We Explore the World of Freehand Embroidery Together with Social Enterprise - Threading the World.

This workshop is for anyone who wants to learn – or rediscover – embroidery in a relaxed and inspiring atmosphere.

You’ll be introduced to selected stitches and techniques within freehand embroidery, which you can use to create small motifs. We’ll work with needle and thread on small fabric patches that can later be sewn onto your own clothes, giving them new life and personality.

All materials are provided – you just need to show up with a desire to learn and create. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to buy a cup of coffee in Domen’s cozy café and enjoy a break in the beautiful surroundings.

The workshop is a joint collaboration between The City of Aarhus, and Threading the World, a social enterprise in sewing and design that uses textile recycling as a focal point to create a work community for people who have lost their footing in the Danish labor market.
