Hele Aarhus Fejrer: Wind Orchestras’ Day

Thirteen years ago, two board members from the Danish Amateur Orchestra Association (DAO) set out to find a way to make wind orchestras more visible: “If we can’t get the audience to come to the concert halls, then we must go out to them!”

Since then, the tradition has grown strong, and this year marks the 12th time that cheerful and entertaining music will fill the streets, parks, and open-air stages of Aalborg, Aarhus, Odense, Næstved/Slagelse, and Copenhagen – on Saturday, September 6th, 2025.

Look forward to a day when the amateur orchestras of central Jutland will fill the waterfront with delightful melodies.
