Kor-U x Voices Builds Bridges

Kor-U is Kalundborg Music School's Youth Choir and consists of young people from 7th grade and up.

Kor-U's repertoire ranges from songs by Danish artists such as Fallulah, Ganger, Guldimund and foreign artists such as Florence + The Machine and Lord Huron to classic folk songs, Swedish songs and beautiful canons. The audience can also look forward to newer Danish classics such as "Lyse nætter", "Solen er så rød mor" and "Lyngen er lilla". The songs are performed both a cappella and with piano accompaniment, and the choir always sings without sheet music to ensure an intimate concert experience. The singers love to perform and in season 24/25 the choir performed a total of 12 concerts in Kalundborg and Holbæk - for the same reason, the choir is looking forward to unfolding at this year's festival in Aarhus.

The choir belongs to Musisk Skole Kalundborg and is led by conductor Annette Kruse Scharling. The choir rehearses every week and prioritises both the musical work and the community that binds the singers together, and the concert is part of the choir's annual choir trip.
