Light art: Endless Connection
Endless Connection is a large and interactive artwork created by artist Jeppe Hein. The work consists of over two metres high walls of water in an enormous fountain that is formed by jets from the ground and constantly changes shape. The moving walls create spaces that you can enter and move around in. Inspired by the starry sky above Aarhus, the fountain forms different patterns that invite play, discovery and sensory experience. The largest extent of the work is 16.2 x 14.4 metres with 2.3 metre high walls of water.
Jeppe Hein is a Danish artist with great international recognition. He is known for his interactive and playful installations, often involving elements such as water, mirrors and movement. Hein has previously collaborated with Olafur Eliasson and has exhibited in both Europe and the US. In Endless Connection he unites the poetry of nature with the precision of technology and invites the audience to become part of the work.
