Light Festival: Af vand er du kommet

Af vand er du kommet originally emerged in 1997, in connection with a three-part poetry installation in neon. With the installation, the artist explored poems installed in different areas of the public domain and the resulting reflection that such a situation creates in passers-by.

The work, which subsequently and gradually became a permanent cult-like component of the area under Clemensbro, has been in dire need of a loving hand to come to life again.

Lys På Aarhus has therefore had the work renovated and will now be responsible for keeping this icon alive in the streetscape, which offers a moment of reflection amidst the buzz of the city.

The purpose of this specific Lys På Aarhus project is to protect an important identity-creating element in the city, which contributes to a vibrant and interesting city life for everyone; residents and the many visitors to the area.
