When the film's Australian director George Miller isn't cavorting with horses, pigs, cows and sheep in the 'Babe' films or penguins in 'Happy Feet', for the past 40 years he's been burning off petrol and post-apocalyptic madness on the big screen in the legendary saga of road warrior Mad Max.

 

2015's 'Mad Max: Fury Road' didn't just live up to the legacy of the series' previous films starring Mel Gibson. A non-stop sensory orgy of action with explosions, wild locations and wilder guitar riffs, this six-time Oscar winner placed itself at the top of its own wayward Olympus of what an action film can be and look like.
