Robot Action – When Robots Take Over the City
Outside Dokk1, mobile robots will be on the move. Researchers and private companies will showcase their latest models – and you’ll find robot action throughout the day. Stop by, join a guided robot walk, or simply enjoy the sight of machines that (almost) have legs to walk on.
In collaboration with Capra Robotics, we invite you to 15-minute guided robot walk on a short route through the city centre. We’ll walk along the sidewalks with the robots in front – and along the way, you’ll learn about sensors, navigation and what it takes to make a robot find its way in the real world.
Tour schedule:
- Friday at 1:30 PM and 2:30 PM
Each walk lasts approx. 15 minutes. Just show up outside Dokk1 – no registration needed.
When technology works for us
These robots aren’t just for show – many of them are designed to help people with everyday tasks like weed control and winter maintenance. At the university exhibition area, you can also peek into the future of research: large agricultural robots, smart sensors – and maybe even get a tip on how to become a robotics engineer.
The entire exhibition area is open to the public, with elevator access available.
We’re also celebrating a new law taking effect on July 1, which makes it easier to use self-driving robots in public spaces – letting them roll out into the real world.
Robot Action is part of the Vilde teknologier festival, taking place in and around Dokk1.
