In Japan it is called shibori, in the 70s we called it batik, and most young people today know it as tie-dye. A dyeing technique where strings, elastics, clips or just knots create everything from sharp geometric to unpredictable abstract patterns on fabric.
Bring an old white t-shirt, undershirt, socks, a tote bag or something else that's just lying at home and needs a new life and color. First we practice the technique with small fabric samples, and while we wait, we fold and dye the things you have brought with you.
The workshop is for families; adults can only participate accompanied by children.
