The city seen from above: Ringgadebroen

Ringgadebroen has played a central role in Aarhus' infrastructure since its inauguration in 1938 and serves as an important junction connecting the city. Over the years, the bridge has undergone several renovations and expansions, including in 1970-71, when it was widened, and in 2007, when cracks and falling concrete pieces led to extensive repairs. At the same time, the bridge was upgraded with a left-turn lane towards Værkmestergade. Most recently, the bridge was renovated in 2014.

Every evening you can experience the artwork "Hesitation of Light" by Signe Klejs, which lights up the old bridge.
