The city seen from above: The observation tower on Aarhus Ø

The tower was designed by Dorte Mandrup Architects in 2018. Measuring 15 metres from top to bottom, the tower is not only a lookout post, but also an architecturally beautiful sculpture. The round holes in the tower are lookout holes that give you a 360-degree view of the area on Aarhus Ø with Mols in the background.

It is also at the waterfront (Basin 7) that Aarhus Municipality has built Havnebadet. There are children's, junior and adult pools and it has become a really popular area for many people in Aarhus. If you prefer longer swims and diving, you'll find a 500-metre-long course just outside the Harbour Pool, where you can satisfy your desire to swim unhindered by sailboats. Right next to it is the large white viewing tower, which from the top platform at a height of 7.5 metres gives you a good overview of the entire harbour promenade. Along the harbour edge, there are stalls selling food, drinks and goods related to life by the water.
