Welcome to Denmark's wildest display of gastronomic creativity! 14 of the country's most inventive restaurants compete to serve the best reinterpretation of the national classic in front of a star-studded panel of judges including some of the country's best chefs, master butchers, food critics and hotdog-enthusiasts.

Umut Sakarya is back as host for the Championship! We're repeating last year's success as Umut once again guides you through the biggest foodfest of the year.

How to get your hands on Denmark's best hotdogs

Make sure you have a ticket to Food Festival 2025 in Aarhus on Sunday 7th of September!

During the competition, hotdogs can ONLY be paid for with hot dog tickets.

You can order hotdog tickets online at foodfestival.dk or buy directly at the festival site at "Iværksætteriet".

75 kr. = 1 hotdog ticket = 1 hotdog.

Charity of the year: Education and food for children in need.

Many Syrian children grow up in refugee camps without access to school, food or security. That's why all sales from the Championship this year go to the organisation '5 Skoler', which runs 16 schools close to the border with Syria. Here, children receive education, care and a daily meal - because no child should grow up without a childhood.

All proceeds from the sale of hotdogs at the Championship go to this organisations work.

The Dansih Championship in Hotdogs is your shortcut to enjoy high-level gastronomy and gain insight into the principles and considerations that go into the creation of a new dish by the country's most creative chefs.
