UMTO x Schæfer (M56;10)

With quirky and poetic songs, Schæfer invites you into a world of socially relevant stories that are both dark and melancholic, light and subtle. The duo and friends, Anna Skov Jensen (vocals) and Emil Mors Rasmussen (keyboards), write vulnerable, intense and humorous songs that point the finger at the outside world and not least at themselves. Schæfer has already won recognition for their sharp songwriting with the title of 'Nordjyske Sangskriver of the Year 2024' in Skråen's music competition Band Battle.

Live, Schæfer take to the stage as a seven-piece orchestra, pulling the music in explosive directions together. "Even though the seven young musicians look cute, they know how to bite back. They take the audience by storm and leave them speechless." GAFFA Magazine writes in praise of the band's live performance, which they gave 5 stars, and describes their sound as "a kind of indie dream jazz, which includes delicious trumpet solos and choir voices that pull the audience into a dream world far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life."
