Wahlberg and Friends - the electromechanical universe.
Sydhavnen's spectacular slaughterhouse premises are countered by mechanical installations, organic materials moved and manipulated by raw computing power. Design, interaction and motors merge, challenging the senses, giving time for contemplation and reverie.
During the Festival you can experience the work of inventor Mads Wahlberg and installations created together with energetic colleagues such as design agency Kollision, interaction designer Thomas Kaufmanas and graffiti and street artist Eske Touborg.
Kinetic Circles by Kollision & Wahlberg Light, darkness and six kinetic cranes manipulate two giant rings of light. An octagonal sound universe with associations to flowing water, movement and rhythm.
Aerial Sketching by Thomas Kaufmanas. Aerial materials and precise motors, interactively linked to the movements of the audience.
The Motorized carpet by Mads Wahlberg The original motorised carpet installation, pimped with 12 moving BMW seats, lamps and smoke from a closed military factory, with thumping 90's beats.
Silverdancers by Eske Touborg Alien-like sculptures covered in mirror foil and glowing red eyes, manipulated with computerised cranes - balancing between future and myth.
'Bar Vi' also have a bar, and maybe some jazz pumped with electronics.
