After several years behind the scenes in the music industry – including collaborations with Artigeardit and Omar – ALICE is now stepping into the spotlight with her debut project.

At the heart of ALICE is lead singer Ali Karim, who, together with Martin Zeppelin and Thor Kvisgaard, forms the creative core of the project. Together, they have created a musical universe built on strong melodies, uncompromising songwriting and organic productions.

Ali Karim co-wrote Artigeardit’s “Voicemail”, on which he also sings the chorus, and has also contributed as a songwriter to Omar’s “Højt at flyve” and “Samsø”.

With ALICE, he is now stepping forward with his own artistic signature. The music moves between modern Danish pop and organic instruments, with a sound that prioritises immediacy, dynamism and songwriting over trends. The lyrics revolve around identity, family, love, loss and the longing to belong – told with an honesty that draws the listener right in.

The project has been developed in collaboration with David Sommer, Marius Iversen, Alexander Palm and Mahdi Karim, each of whom contributes their own musical signature to a sonic universe where the songs take centre stage.

The visual style draws inspiration from analogue photographs, 1980s colours and the convergence of Nordic minimalism and Middle Eastern references. The ambition is to create a common thread between sound, lyrics and aesthetics – a universe that is experienced as a single, cohesive narrative.

ALICE was not created out of a desire to follow the trend, but to create songs with lasting appeal. Music that can grow with the listener and that bridges the gap between the personal and the universal.
