With her powerful voice, ‘don’t-fuck-with-me’ energy and compelling authenticity, Ana Juél has made her mark on the Danish R&B scene from an early stage. Behind the name is Aarhus-based Jean Anastasia Juman Elbæk, whose multicultural background shines through clearly. With her Guyanese roots, she brings a distinctive touch to her music, ensuring an international sound. 

Her powerful, laid-back productions carry strong messages about standing up for yourself, for one another and keeping your head held high – a mindset she has drawn inspiration for from her icon, Natasja. All the while, her sassiness and fearless attitude remind you of another of her icons: Rihanna. All of this comes together seamlessly in a powerful live performance that makes it look effortless to blend a strong vocal delivery with rowdy guitar riffs, choreography, attitude and feel-good energy. Despite being at an early stage in her solo career, Ana Juél clearly demonstrates that she is an experienced performer with a solid touring background, having recently appeared on the Orange Stage with Annika last summer.
