The soundscape in Bare Kristoffer’s universe is multifaceted, rootless, rock-infused, jazzy and surprising. It sizzles and bubbles just like the stories that roll off Bare Kristoffer’s tongue. Through taut lines and rhythmic cadences, the facades crumble, leaving behind the exposed human being with their bitten nails and unvarnished truths. The songs are wrapped up as hip-hop you can dance to, to demonstrate that we can still party even when we’re standing on the edge of the abyss. In Bare Kristoffer’s universe, we’re allowed to break down, and Kristoffer Vendelboe isn’t afraid to be the one leading the way.

Bare Kristoffer is no stranger to the hip-hop underground and has played countless live gigs with the hip-hop duo Ny Skole Patina. With his solo project, he takes his role in the scene seriously and seeks a wide range of collaborations – both in the studio, on billboards and within thriving music scenes such as UMTO, the hip-hop collective “Rød Tråd”, and as the poster boy for the new venue and cultural hub Okay in the heart of Aarhus.
