Celtic hymns
Ever wondered how a fiddle and a hymn fit together? Or how an Irish drum sounds like in a church? With a team from Northern Ireland, the evening of the 29th will be lit up by traditional Celtic hymns, that will tell of much more than just a culture. Hymns and psalms are an expression of faith, but also of a culture. You do not need to believe in order to participate in the joy of the music. But the music and the lyrical depths will draw you into centuries of Northern Irish culture, and lift your eyes to the things that transcends borders, boundaries, differences and troubles.
On Saturday 29th Haven Aarhus, in collaboration with a group of Northern Irish youths from European Mission Fellowship, arranges a string of cultural events. Come by for both a seminar, a bake-off, a community meal and a night of Irish hymns.
