Come in, come in! The industrial agriculture circus opens its big top and presents a breathtaking show. Glittering and gigantic at first glance.

The event is part of Circular Days at the Dome on 27–30 August at Pier 2 – part of the ‘Down-to-earth Future’ programme track at Aarhus Festival.

We are your ringmasters: an international team of 14 organisations from across Europe, united in the ‘Rebooting the Food System’ project.

Through our work, we show that there is anything but magic in the food we eat: pesticide use, the climate crisis, species extinction and social injustice. The dark side of our food system is being brought into the spotlight: the way our food is produced contributes significantly to the social and ecological problems of our time.

But there is hope! Agroecology offers solutions to the human rights and environmental problems caused by industrial food production.

Cirque du Soil invites us to dream of a world where our soil is alive and people are treated fairly.

What’s more, we show ways in which this vision can become a reality.
