Comhaltacht - a Northern Irish community meal

Come for a taste of Irish togetherness, a community meal for everyone. Stay for the fellowship - comhaltacht - and the chance to make some new acquaintances. On Saturday 29th we will host a community meal, where everyone are invited. This community meal will be centered around the Northern Irish roots of the groups of youths that are visiting Aarhus. These are not chefs, but humbly make the recipes they know from their region. Food brings people together. And in a region so divided by political, cultural and religious animosity, sometimes you have to just come and sit down over a meal, to reconcile and heal. So, although they’re not being culinary experts, they will bring you authenticity and love of their childhood dishes. 

On Saturday 29th Haven Aarhus, in collaboration with a group of Northern Irish youths from European Mission Fellowship, arranges a string of cultural events. Come by for both a seminar, a bake-off, a community meal and a night of Irish hymns.
