Digital sovereignty

We often talk about what digitalisation can do for us, but less often about what it demands of us. When our data, digital infrastructures and key technological platforms are largely owned and controlled by others, the question is no longer whether we should take action. It is whether we are willing to do what is necessary.

In this panel debate, we will shine a spotlight on what digital sovereignty actually requires – in terms of investment, priorities and political will. What is realistic, and what is wishful thinking?

It will be a conversation featuring sharp and diverse voices:

- Hans Ravnkjær Larsen (moderator), Head of Events and Associations at Dansk IT

- Bernard Benhamou, Secretary-General of the Institute of Digital Sovereignty and adviser to the French government and the UN

- Tobias Fonsmark, founder and director of Semaphor and an expert in IT security and digital sovereignty

- Signe Ravn-Højgaard, PhD and director of the Digital Infrastructure think tank

- Jesper Kjeldsen, Councillor for Culture and Citizen Services at Aarhus City Council

The debate will be held in English.
