Emil de Waal Old News feat. Randi Laubek

At Elværket in Åbyhøj, Emil de Waal brings a star-studded line-up: Emil de Waal (drums), Randi Laubek (vocals), Henriette Groth (clarinet), Jacob Anderskov (keyboards) and Gustaf Ljunggren (guitars/reeds)

The band plays music with roots in the jazz tradition and at the same time with a great degree of freedom, openness and innovation, as on the album "Novelties", which will be released in September 2026

In addition to their own songs, Emil de Waal Old News plays modern interpretations of Danish and American classics by composers as diverse as Sidney Bechet, John Mogensen, Hans Henrik Ley, Aske Bentzon, Kenneth Knudsen, Fats Waller, Bessie Smith and Sven Gyldmark.
