FUNKGARAGEN – DOME OF FUNK IN SYDHAVN is a one-day funk festival celebrating funk music.

For the past few years, the event has been held at Domen, but this year we’ve moved to Svendborgrampen 12 in Sydhavn.

The line-up currently features three bands.

Sunday Deluxe – playing solid, no-nonsense funk, serving up stylish and energetic tracks from the Average White Band, the Neville Brothers, Anderson Paak and Maceo Parker, amongst others. Perhaps with a touch of soul and even a hint of jazz. Elegantly blended into an experience that’s never dull and goes straight to the gut. Pure FUNK, no frills.

MOFO – draws inspiration from 1970s American funk and plays their own compositions, spiced up with tracks by artists such as Graham Central Station and War. It’s absolutely impossible to stand still when Mofo show you how it’s done.

Shefunk – gets the party started with funk music that gets hips swaying and dancing shoes on. Experience big funky hits delivered with precision, energy and flair, tight arrangements and a glitzy look! Since 2018, SheFunk has been performing at venues across the country for events and private functions, entertaining enthusiastic audiences. Their repertoire draws on the greats: Earth, Wind & Fire, James Brown, Chaka Khan, the Pointer Sisters, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Sister Sledge and many more. SheFunk is Denmark’s – perhaps Europe’s – only major all-female funk band! May the funk be with you!

DJ Roit-a-lot and DJ DøV will also be playing both before and between sets.
