Join us in the kitchen and learn to master the art of making delicious gyoza, just like the ones on the menu at Shima.

Gyoza is a Japanese dumpling made with thin pastry and finely chopped filling. They’re cooked so that they have a crispy, pan-fried base and a juicy, steamed top.

On this course, we’ll guide you through the whole process: from flavour combinations and fillings to folding techniques and the correct cooking method. 

You’ll learn to make three different varieties, and we’ll work in small groups so everyone gets hands-on experience with the gyoza-making process. 

Once we’ve finished, we’ll enjoy a cocktail or mocktail with our gyoza, and you’ll of course take the recipes home with you so you can recreate the success in your own kitchen.
