In a new collaboration spanning three generations and featuring extraordinary voices, Jakob Bro (ECM Records / Loveland Music) has invited the rising Norwegian drummer Veslemøy Narvesen and one of Danish music’s most distinctive saxophonists, Jesper Zeuthen, who has recently been recognized with two nominations at the DMA Jazz Awards 2025.

Jakob Bro and Jesper Zeuthen have collaborated with Peter Laugesen for many years, and he will appear as a special guest at these concerts.

Veslemøy Narvesen (b. 1997) has emerged as one of the most promising names in Norwegian jazz through her collaborations with Nils Petter Molvær, Arve Henriksen, Ingebrigt Håker Flaten, Kit Downes, Anja Lauvdal, Dafnie, and the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra.

Alto saxophonist Jesper Zeuthen (b. 1949) is an icon of Danish music. He first gained recognition in the late 1960s through his work with the group Blue Sun and has continued to develop his musical language tirelessly ever since.

Jakob Bro (b. 1978) has released 25 albums as a bandleader and has become a renowned figure on the international jazz scene through his work with Paul Motian, Tomasz Stańko, Lee Konitz, Joe Lovano and many others.

Peter Laugesen (b. 1942) made his literary debut in 1967 with the poetry chapbook Landskab (Landscape) and has since published more than 50 collections of poetry, most recently Morgensange (Morning Songs, Gyldendal, 2025) and Billedskrivninger (Image Writings, Louisiana & Informations Forlag).

This concert marks the premiere of this quartet, which will explore new material composed by Jakob Bro while seeking a shared musical foundation—framed throughout by Peter Laugesen’s words and voice.

We look forward to seeing you <3
