Join us for knitting, a walk, sing-alongs and the drop-in choir

FOF AARHUS invites you to a cosy day at Minifolkehuset with knitting, exercise, singing and socialising.

Program:

10-13: Open knitting café with instructor Niamh Murray

Pop in for some knitting, coffee, cake and a cosy get-together. We’ll provide yarn and knitting needles, and instructor Niamh Murray will help you get started and offer guidance along the way. Everyone is welcome – both beginners and experienced knitters. Feel free to bring your own knitting if you have a project you’d like to work on. Find out more on Instagram: @nim_knits.

13-14: Group walk around the town centre with instructor Kenn Marquardt

Instructor Kenn Marquardt will take you on a leisurely walk around the town centre. We’ll stretch our legs and have a chat along the way, before continuing with a sing-along.

14-15: Group singing and coffee/tea with instructor Kurt Lykkegaard

Kurt Lykkegaard will bring his guitar and lead a group sing-along with a varied repertoire, mainly from the Højskolesangbogen songbook. There’s free coffee and tea.

16-17: Drop-in choir with choir leader Rikke Bjerring

Pop in and sing in the choir and experience the sheer joy of singing in a lovely community. In the drop-in choir, we’ll rehearse one rhythmic, polyphonic song and get it to sound really good in just one hour. The level is adapted so that everyone can join in, whether you have experience of singing in a choir or not.

FOF AARHUS is an adult education centre where community spirit and academic rigour go hand in hand. There’s a place for everyone here, and you’ll learn something new in a supportive environment. We offer a wide range of courses, talks and workshops in languages, cookery, exercise, music and creative subjects.
