AARHUS CATHEDRAL SCHOOL’S 34-PIECE BIG BAND, FEATURING FOUR VOCALISTS

This year, Aarhus Cathedral School’s big band will be playing two concerts during the festival week (Sunday and Tuesday) – both at Kloster Torv at 5.00 pm. As usual, they’ll be giving it their all, and there’s no doubt that, in keeping with tradition, the atmosphere will be absolutely electric! So decide whether you’d like to come on one evening or the other… or BOTH.

With four wonderful vocalists up front, 25 wind players, backed by a hard-swinging rhythm section, the Aarhus Cathedral School Big Band invites you to a party featuring a festive musical extravaganza – all with a funky feel. So, not the classic big band music from the swing era, but rather tracks by artists such as Snaky Puppy, Cory Wong, Stevie Wonder, Alberte and others.

The Cathedral School’s big band has been going for 16 years, and with this concert at the start of the school year, we’re saying goodbye to the ‘Year 4’ pupils – sad as always – but we’ll be welcoming the new, hopeful Year 1 pupils.
