Listening

Listening

What happens when we meet without making eye contact?

The work consists of two chairs, a small table with books and an invitation to take a seat.

In one of the chairs sits the artist, blindfolded. She is present throughout the performance, but without making contact or engaging in dialogue.

If you sit in the chair opposite, you can read aloud, tell a story, share something you’d like to say, or simply sit in silence.

The artist remains a listener. She does not respond verbally or direct the encounter, but is present with her attention.

Perhaps something will happen. Perhaps not.

There are no expectations. Just an invitation to be present and let the encounter unfold at its own pace.

‘Lyttende / Listening’ is a participatory performance that explores what might arise when two people share a moment together.
