Live Art for Children 2026: ASK THE FLOCK

What do ants think about the future of the labour market? How does a flock of birds cope with the fear of war? How do you find your place in a community – or perhaps even a partner? And what can humans learn from animals when the world seems overwhelming?

Welcome to Ask Nature / Ask the Flock in Aarhus – an unusual, warm and humorous show where the audience asks their big questions about society and life, and where the answers come from nature’s own experts.

We can all hit a dead end or need new perspectives on a problem – and nature has a great deal to teach us. For Spørg Naturen / Ask the Flock, the artists are joined by two experts in natural history: the leading ant specialist Joachim Offenburg and nature guide Rune Kjærgaard.

The panel is a mix of an advice column and a feathered, furry and multi-legged archive of experiences. Bring your questions! They can be anything from personal challenges and curiosities to broader societal issues!

Feel free to ask away under the theme “communities and society”: What worries you? What do you dream of? What are your hopes for the future?

You can also send your questions in advance to info@liveart.dk or pop them into the postbox at DOKK1.

Feral Practice works in dialogue with other species to create art projects that expand the connection between people and nature. They live and work in Somerset.
