Opening performance with Vipepeo

Join us as Vipepeo opens the turquoise garden with East African drum dance!

Vipepeo is an Aarhus-based dance group that meets to dance, drum, and sing every Tuesday. They perform various dance and drumming styles from the Sukuma tribe in Tanzania, where several members have traveled and lived, and some also have roots.

Vipepeo is one of the regular groups that practices every Tuesday at turkis, and you can read more about the group here

This afternoon, they’ll be opening our festival, ‘The Turquoise Garden’, with a performance taking place outside in the garden next to turkis.
