Organism + Excitable Chaos

Experience the aesthetic and meditative sound chaos in the sound work 'Organism + ExcitableChaos '

When was the last time you surrendered to chaos and were simply present in the moment? Like for real? We're used to having to figure it all out: How something is created, how it works and trying to predict what will happen next.

Through 'Organism + Excitable Chaos ', artist Navid Navab (IR/CA) incollaboration with Garnet Willis invites us to abandon the need to figure it all out andsurrender to the present moment surrounded by the sonic and aesthetic experience in UngK's open church space on Nørre Alle.
You can experience the sound work during the Festival Week from 28 August to 1 September 2026.

Robotics meets the pipe organ

'Organism + Excitable Chaos ' is a free sound installation open to the public. In the church space you will find a deconstructed pipe organ from 1910 that plays with the help of a robotic, chaotic pendulum.

Combiningcultural heritage, advanced technology and spiritual spaces, you are invited to surrender to unpredictability and sensory immersion . 'Organism + Excitable Chaos' creates a different, meditative art space.

You can take a seat for as long or as short a time as you like, listening to the unpredictable sounds of the organ and watching the pendulum draw patterns in front of it.

Let yourself be engulfed by the aesthetic reminder to be in the moment and simply experience when Festugen opens its doors to the meditative breathing space that 'Organism + Excitable Chaos' creates. Together we surrender to the chaos we cannot control.

'Organism + Excitable Chaos ' is part of Festugen's 'Preaching Spaces' series, inviting you to musical explorations of the city's churchand preaching spaces.
