Oskar Witt takes to the stage with a magnetic presence, where passionate performances and raw intensity ensure that every word really hits home. He has been praised for his technical precision, extraordinary stage presence and wild energy, and was awarded six stars by GAFFA for his performance at the SPOT Festival as one of the artists selected for P3’s Næste.

No one is like Oskar. When he does his thing, it’s not necessarily something you’ve seen before. He wants to challenge hip-hop’s typically hyper-masculine mould and does whatever suits him. He organises one-day festivals under his own name, stages cycle races in underground car parks and creates catwalks for concerts featuring mosh pits. Oskar Witt, the boy from the provinces, is a small-scale youth revolution within the world he comes from and moves in.

Oskar Witt’s artistic expression draws inspiration from a broad spectrum. From poetry slam, where his lyrical journey began, to Danish icons such as C.V. Jørgensen and Michael Strunge, as well as American rap pioneers. His lyrics revolve around identity, unrequited love and existential quests, balancing vulnerability with uncompromising experimentation. The meeting of poetic flair and boundary-pushing beats gives rise to a sound that is both innovative and deeply moving.

Most recently, Oskar Witt has released his second EP, ‘WITT’, written and produced in collaboration with Mikkel Martinus and Elias Josevski, featuring BJØRN and Smag På Dig Selv. The balancing act between self-realisation, self-presentation and the ego takes centre stage, and Oskar Witt reveals an ambitious, sharp, uncompromising and arrogant side of himself.
