Pitcher of Quantum

Pitcher of Quantum is not your typical science event — it’s a dynamic experience where the next generation of quantum physicists shares, demystifies, and highlights quantum technology. The aim? To pitch how quantum technology impacts our daily lives.

After the success of the first edition (watch the video here https://www.sciencemeltingpot.com/portfolio/pitcherofquantum), Pitcher of Quantum returns to Festuge 2026 to make quantum technology approachable and fun. Quantum technology can feel distant to some, but it already powers our smartphones, MRI scanners, navigation systems, and much more.

Unlike traditional science events with slides and jargon, Pitcher of Quantum transforms complex ideas into engaging, bite-sized stories. Each 3-minute talk sparks curiosity, explains societal impact, and makes the audience say, “Wow, I actually get this!”

Speakers are Master’s students from DigiQ (https://digiq.hybridintelligence.eu/), a European program training future quantum leaders, with partners in Prague, Paris, Helsinki, Jena, Copenhagen, and Barcelona. They’re experts in quantum science and skilled in science communication, making complex topics relatable for all.
