The Day of the Wind Orchestras 2026

On this sunny Sunday in late summer, the Danish Amateur Orchestra Association (DAO) invites you to a musical day, where wind orchestra from all over the country will fill the air with festive music. Every year, DAO organizes a Day of the Wind Orchestras, where DAO’s member orchestras meet at 5-6 locations across Denmark during the same weekend and hold open-air concerts, one orchestra after the other, on a shared stage.

The event is open to everyone, and admission is free, so bring your friends and family for a day filled with musical joy. It’s a great opportunity to experience the local music scene and enjoy a lovely day in Aarhus.
