Piano
A man is playing the piano. Or is it an organ?

We recommend using public transport to and from the events. Check Midttrafik or Rejseplanen for routes and departure times.
No special parking areas have been set up for Aarhus Festuge – please use the usual car parks and multi-storey car parks in Aarhus city centre.
Aarhus Festuge offers music, theatre, art, dance, talks, events and activities for children, young people and adults alike. The events take place all over the city – from the city’s squares and parks to the harbour area, cultural institutions and smaller venues.
Find all events, times, venues and practical information in the Aarhus Festival programme. You can search and filter by highlights, date, genre and target audience, amongst other things.
You can also find the programme in the Aarhus Festuge app, which you can download from your usual app store.
Much of the Festival Week programme is free, whilst other events require a ticket or registration. Please check the details for each event in the programme to find out whether you need to buy a ticket or register.
We have set up additional toilets in the busiest areas of the Festival Week:
Bispetorv
Festugeparken (Rådhusparken/Musikhusparken)
In addition, you can use the public toilets in Aarhus city centre.
The Festival Week takes place throughout Aarhus. Among other things, you can enjoy events at Bispetorv, in Festugeparken, the Botanical Gardens and by the harbour, as well as at the city’s cultural venues, theatres, squares and public spaces.
With the Aarhus Festuge app, you have the entire Festuge programme right at your fingertips. You can sort and filter events, save your favourites and easily find your way back to the ones you’d like to experience.
The ‘What’s nearby?’ feature shows you events close to where you are – perfect when you’re out and about in the city and want to see what’s happening nearby.
You can also use the app to get an overview of venues, times and practical information about individual events.
Download the Aarhus Festuge app for free from the App Store or Google Play.
In Byparken, you’ll find the Festival Week Information Centre, which is staffed during the morning and evening hours. Here, you’ll meet our volunteer information hosts, who can help with practical enquiries and guide you on how to use both our online programme and app. You’ll find them here.
You can recognise them by the fact that they’re wearing this year’s Festival Week T-shirt and key ring.
You’re also always welcome to email us at info@aarhusfestuge.dk or contact the secretariat on +45 87 30 83 00
If you find or lose something at an event organised by us, please contact the Aarhus Festuge secretariat.
We regularly hand over any items we have collected to the Lost Property Office in Aarhus, which you should then contact.
In our programme, you can find the contact details of the organiser responsible for each individual event at the bottom of the page. If you’re unsure who to contact, you can always check there.
Aarhus Festuge will take place from Friday 28 August to Sunday 6 September 2026.
In fact, we’re getting a head start with the opening concert at Bispetorv as early as Thursday 27 August
