Do you have an event you would like to include in the programme for Aarhus Festival 2026? Then you've come to the right place!
You will be guided through the form to make sure you get everything included. Once you've registered your event, we'll read through it and make sure it's just right. The sooner you register your event, the longer it will be visible to guests on aarhusfestuge.dk.
Aarhus Festival 2026 takes place from 28 August to 6 September.
Please note that you are responsible for obtaining the necessary permits from the authorities. This means that you do not automatically get permission to use the city's public areas by registering your event through the Festival's organiser registration. We refer to Aarhus Municipality's application platform BrugAarhus.dk.
Are you a new user?
If you are a new user and not yet connected to an organiser account, you must first create a profile before you can create and edit events. You will need to enter your name, phone number and organiser details for the organisation you are creating events on behalf of.
Are you already connected to an organiser account?
If you have already been invited to or linked to an existing organiser account, simply enter your email address and the one-time code provided to log in.
Important:
To avoid confusion and duplicate creations, please be careful not to create multiple organiser accounts for the same organisation.
Basically yes, anyone can add their own event to Aarhus Festival.
All you need to do is comply with our rules and regulations for events, which you can read here:
Rules and regulations for events
The deadline for creating events is Friday 7 August at 23:59.
You can edit a published event, but the changes will only be published after we have reviewed and approved the changes. Therefore, there may be some processing time before the update takes effect.
We recommend that you create your event as early as possible. Events created in April and May, for example, are more likely to be selected as a highlight on aarhusfestuge.dk and thus get extra visibility.
If you create or edit an event in week 28, 29 or 30, it will not be published until week 31 due to summer holidays at the secretariat.
