On Sunday 31 August, you can once again experience Aarhus at its most beautiful when Aarhus Festival Week and Aarhus 1900 Athletics & Running invite you to the Aarhus Architecture Race for the third year in a row.
Thanks to a broad collaboration with a number of the city's prominent cultural institutions, the Festival and Aarhus 1900 can present a unique race route that takes participants through some of the city's historical landmarks and major attractions.
An exploration of both old and new Aarhus
During last year's Architecture Race, the 10 and 5 km routes took participants through places as diverse as Aarhus Theatre, Sct. Paul's Church, the Spanish Baths, the museum KØN and Aarhus City Hall.
This year, both Aarhus Theatre and Sct. Paul's Church are back on the route, but as something completely new, you can also look forward to exploring the new cultural neighbourhood at Sydhavnen. The rest of the route will be presented in dribs and drabs and the full route will be announced in early August.
In line with the 60th anniversary of the Festival and the theme 'Aarhus Festival - No Age', this year's route will celebrate both the old and the new Aarhus.
